Decathlon launches ‘Decathlon Occasion’ to buy and sell second-hand products

Decathlon has launched from this Friday ‘Decathlon Ocasión’, an initiative that will allow customers to buy and sell sports equipment, with which the company seeks to continue making sport accessible to the greatest number of people, as reported by the multinational in a statement .

Specifically, the firm offers its sports users the possibility of buying used sports equipment or selling those products that they no longer use and that are in perfect condition.

In this way, in the case of users who want to sell their sports equipment, Decathlon offers them two sales options so that they can choose the one that best suits their needs: ‘online’, available 365 days a year, or in shop.

Those users who opt for the Internet sales modality must only upload their products to the ‘Decathlon Ocasión’ website to put them up for sale and through the platform they will be able to contact other users and, after reaching an agreement, meet and carry out the exchange.

For their part, users who opt for physical sales must also upload their products to the ‘Decathlon Ocasión’ website, fill out a technical sheet and then take them to their nearest store, where the company’s specialists will review them free and will help the user to set a sale price after reviewing the data sheet created by the user. If your product is sold, Decathlon provides users with purchase vouchers for an amount equal to the sale price.

The company has indicated that this initiative is “an excellent option” for those users who want to buy or renew their sports equipment. Decathlon has recalled that it works continuously to ensure the sustainability of its entire value chain and maintains a firm commitment to growing in an environmentally responsible manner and with this initiative it contributes to reducing pollution.
