Nismo, beyond the Nissan 370Z

Nismo models refer to the most powerful versions of each model. The 370Z Nismo goes, therefore, beyond the “small” sports car of the Japanese.

Nismo is the acronym for Nissan Motor and is the last name most sought after by lovers of the Japanese firm when it comes to finding a “beyond” in sports performance for models as little “sporty” as the Juke (model with which this denomination was born). However, if we talk about the 370Z, the “small” sports car from the Japanese firm after the impressive GT-R, what has more power and performance already sounds like something more commonplace.

The Nissan 370Z Nismo differs from the one in which it gains more power (344 for 328 horsepower) despite mounting the same engine, a 3.7 V6. Although the top speed of both vehicles is 250 km/h, the Nismo manages to reduce its acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h by one tenth, to go from 5.3 to 5.2 seconds.

But the most “visible” changes are undoubtedly in the design section. The 370Z Nismo mounts a piece of spoiler at the rear that gives an even more aggressive aesthetic to a vehicle that already “stock” impresses with its appearance, especially at the front, with extremely aggressive optical elements. In said front we also have a splitter under the bumper that brings the 370Z Nismo even closer to the ground, and that also increases its racing aesthetic.

The suspensions change slightly compared to the original 370Z, with a slight hardening, designed above all for radical use of the vehicle on the track. What remains is the 6-speed manual transmission, without any option for automatic transmission. The brakes, for the same reason, also vary, with a slight hardening.

The wheels do not go unnoticed either, with their impressive 19 inches, and which serve as a “cage” for the brake calipers, “what color?”, you will ask. Evidently a deep chanting red.

breathe sportsmanship

Whoever wants comfort should buy a minivan, because the 370Z Nismo is a full-fledged sports car. Thus, its interior is austere, but it does not lack anything that the potential pilot demands to be done with this vehicle. Two-seater, of course, enveloping seats, a special steering wheel covered in Alcantara, and all the elements to help driving at a correct distance from the hands. There is no lack of 7-inch screen for the browser, and the spaces behind the seats to carry the odd object are wider than in some other sports models.

And the march? Little can be said after listening to the purr of the engine when pressing the start button. Quick, direct responses, and vibrations that rise from the accelerator to the brain. Enjoyed.
