SamyRoad closes a financing round with which to face its expansion to Argentina, Brazil and France

SamyRoad, a technological platform that identifies profiles for large brands, has closed one of 1.4 million euros. This round has been led by the funds Inveready Technology Investment Group and Sabadell Venture Capital. All of the financing will be allocated to the expansion of SamyRoad in Latin America and Europe.

“This injection of capital comes to reinforce our expansion plan for the coming months and in this sense, Argentina and will be our main objectives in Latin America and in Europe. We are very pleased to have closed this round with such success through these two funds, which will be the definitive boost for our strategic growth plan”has assured Patricia Ratiaco-founder and financial director of SamyRoad.

What is Samy Road?

As Patricia Ratia herself explained to us a few months ago, «SamyRoad is a content platform where the user can discover content of their passions (fashion, music, art…) in an organized way. We ensure that this content is of quality because the creators have been previously validated. They are a community of bloggers, designers, artists, photographers, athletes, etc. They expose their content and we give them access so that they can work with different national and international brands and from different sectors of activity, starring branded content campaigns.

SamyRoad carried out a powerful international expansion plan in 2017, thanks to which the company managed to triple its turnover and achieved a positive EBITDA (gross operating result). In just 5 years, this Spanish company, founded by three young people passionate about influencer marketing, has reached 26 markets, and currently has offices in Madrid, New York, Lisbon and Mexico. SamyRoad has carried out 270 campaigns for 75 brands and has worked with a total of 2,500 influencers from all over the world.

This round of financing joins the 3 million euros that the startup previously received from private investors, such as the family Bulgarianinstitutional as Caixa Capital Risk Y business angels as Jesús Olmos, former Global Co-Heading Partner of Infrastructure Investments at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (“KKR”). In addition, SamyRoad has obtained funds from the European Union through the CDTI to invest in the development of its already famous algorithm.

SamyRoad currently works in 12 different industries: food & beverage, alcohol, banking & services, beauty, entertainment, luxury, fashion, motor, fragrance, solidarity, technology and travel. Throughout 2017, SamyRoad has made its debut in some sectors such as the motor industry and tourism and carried out solidarity campaigns. SamyRoad has established itself in the luxury and beauty industry and proof of this is its recent campaigns for Loewe, Cartier L’Oreal, Estée Lauder, Clarins, Avon and Natura Bisse.

SamyRoad expects to double its turnover in 2018, driven by its international expansion plan.
