Sensei Course #2. Configuration and preferences – .com

In the second lesson of the Sensei course we will see the settings and how to configure its different sections according to the idea of the online academy that we have in mind.

Now that we have installed Sensei and we have seen how to create our first course, we need to make some adjustments in the plugin configuration so that it adapts to our preferences. Throughout this class we will see the different options that Sensei gives us in the different sections. from the Settings section.

We will see how to configure each of the sections of general settings, courses, lessons, notices, and profiles. Let us begin!

As you can see, this plugin allows us to configure aspects such as user access permissions, how courses and lessons will be displayed, what emails will be sent to users and other options, as we have seen:

  • General: Here we will see various aspects of the plugin such as access permissions, the configuration of private messages or the possibility of deactivating some elements of Sensei LMS.
  • Courses: In this section we can configure what and how the images of the courses are shown in the files and if some elements are shown or not.
  • Lessons: Similar to courses but with some specific options for lessons in this case.
  • Email Alerts: To enable or disable emails and configure their appearance.
  • Student profiles: Allows us to deactivate or activate public student profiles and choose whether or not to show the student’s courses.

Now it’s your turn to get down to work and configure your new online academy to fit your project. I propose you to make all the appropriate adjustments to adapt the academy to what best suits your case.
