The 5 stages of the production launch process

once past and virtual leverage in networks, the time has come to actually put our hands to work in a more literal way and launch ourselves to materialize.

There are many edges to take into account, and many must advance in parallel so that the times do not extend too much.

Taking a concrete example like mine, the creation of the ballerina brand.

I divided this second stage in the following way. I hope it serves as a guide for you too!

1- Development of the line

Being a ballerina brand with a base matrix, we define 3 basic models where the details added to each one give off a new model.

However, initially there are 3 different creative paths: flat-toe ballerinas, pointed ballerinas and flat sandals.

2- Search for suppliers

With the clear idea of point 1 and visual references; It’s time to go looking for possible suppliers to materialize the ideas.

It is important not to marry one and have several! The reason for the latter is because each provider stands out for something, so it is good to maximize the capabilities of each one.

At the same time, you diversify production, which, if there is a problem, does not find us with everything centralized.

3- Sample development

Once the suppliers that best solve the concepts have been selected, it is important to develop a preliminary sample to see the real work and make all the necessary modifications before launching ourselves with the final production.

4 – Analysis and decisions

Once the sample is finished, we will have a real idea of the final cost of the product and depending on the profit margin that we expect to have, we will define if the model is viable or not to be produced.

5- Production launch

Finally, the production release has arrived!

Once the process is launched, we will have a few weeks to wait, but from now on we will use it for the development of ecommerce, packingbranding, among others.

We will get ready to be able to effectively sell when we receive the finished product.

Are you ready?
