In this way, the use of the Internet has almost doubled among Spaniards who traveled through Europe last year, according to the latest study of the ‘Household Panel’, prepared by the National Commission for Markets and Competition (CNMC). .

In addition, its elimination in the EU has caused a 93% increase in the use of mobile phones indistinctly in Europe and in Spain among Spaniards traveling in Europe.

The data from this analysis show that 43% used their phone to consult the Internet in Europe more or in a similar way than in Spain, compared to 2016 where this percentage was 25%.

In the case of calls, 26% said they used their mobile phone to call on their trips last year, just as they did in Spain, when in 2016 the percentage was half.

In spite of everything, around 30% of the Spaniards who traveled through Europe did not use their mobile phone to call or to connect to the Internet.

Since June 15, Europeans have not paid for roaming in any of the 28 countries of the European Union: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece , Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
