The Tax Agency has started the Income Tax declaration period today, this morning, at nine o’clock, 382,000 presentations had already been presented, 3.9% more than last year. The Tax Agency expects that 600,000 declarations will be received in the first eight hours of the campaign, if the rate of 442 declarations per minute is maintained.
Until 1:00 p.m. today, more than 591,000 declarations in the first hours of the 2021 Income and Wealth Campaign, which is 2% more than last year’s figures.
Sources from the Tax Agency report that of the set of returns filed, more than 85,000, have been made through the application of the Tax Agency, 3.9% less compared to the previous year.
Returns will begin next Friday, April 5. A total of 1.3 million taxpayers have already accessed their tax data and 1.2 million have obtained the reference number for filing the declaration.
This year, together with the usual help services, the Aeat has launched a ‘comprehensive income reporter’ so that taxpayers who need it can resolve their main questions, with the possibility of contacting specialized personnel from the Aeat via chat. Integral Digital Administration (ADI), to clarify the issues that remain pending.
This service includes information on the structured Income Statement, with more than 800 responses, based on 23 initial content sections. This service will be open all year.
Plan ‘We call you’
Plan ‘We call you’, for telephone service will begin on May 5, but with a prior appointment request from May 3, and open until the end of the campaign. Once the taxpayer obtains the appointment, through the Internet or by telephone 91 535 73 26 or 901 12 12 24. The taxpayer must choose morning or afternoon hours and the system will propose the day and time in which he will receive the call of the Aeat.
Rental APP
Regarding the APP, this exercise it is possible to send up to five different statements from five members of the family unit without having to close the session. And a navigation component has also been included at the bottom of the screen to improve usability.
The APP allows you to file the declaration, modify the tax allocation, change the IBAN of the checking account, consult the tax data of previous campaigns and cancel previously arranged appointments.
Web Rent
Some new features have also been included in Renta Web to adapt it to the regulatory changes that have occurred, such as the boxes for improving the energy efficiency of homes or those referring to cryptocurrencies, both in Income and Equity.
According to the director of the Aeat, Jesús Gascón, he has indicated that in the face of cyberattacks carried out by hackers from Russia, that they act prudently and that very high security standards are maintained.
In this Campaign, the Tax Agency expects to enter 13,400 million euros, 10.8% more than the previous year, while the amount to be returned will rise 5.8%, up to 11,122 million.
