Hiring a telephone or internet line with traditional operators does not guarantee having the best service. Or, at least, this conclusion is what emerges from the last one by the Organization of Consumers and Users (OCU), who has collected the impressions of its partners.
Through a survey of 19,900 users, OCU has obtained a sample from which it is possible to extract which are the most valued services and the level of satisfaction that each company provides to its clients. And in this case, the smaller companies are the ones that come out the best.
“We have carried out a survey about the level of satisfaction when using the mobile phone, the internet at home or on the mobile, the landline and pay television. In general, we Spaniards are quite satisfied with the benefits of the various telecommunications providers that offer their services in the market of our country, but in this last survey we verified that the smaller operators gain in satisfaction: Pepephone is in general the best valued company”, summarizes the organization.
Thus, 89% of users have a combined offer of services. And the most popular combination is also the most complete: 46% have contracted mobile, internet, pay television and landline, although the latter service is used less and less. Although nine out of ten users have contracted it, 14% never use it and 55% make fewer than six calls a month.
fixed and mobile
In general, all companies perform well both to talk and to connect to the Internet through the mobile. However, the Pepephone operator has obtained the best overall satisfaction score (84 out of 100), followed by O2, Racctel+ and Parlem (80) and PTV Telecom (79).
Among the large operators, the best rated is Movistar, with 71 satisfaction points, above Vodafone (63) and Orange (62).
As for fixed telephony, once again the lesser-known companies are the ones with the best ratings. O2, with 80 points, leads the list, followed by R (74), Racctel+ and Virgin Telco (73).
Internet with fiber or ADSL
Regarding the Internet at home, 84% have fiber optics, while only 8% connect via ADSL and another 7% do so through a mobile data service with a router.
Among those that use fiber, the operator that offers the best service is Simyo (86), followed by Pepephone (80), O2 (79), CableWorld and Digi (78). The classification is closed by Orange (64), Vodafone (63) and Euskaltel (61), which are below average. For its part, Movistar ranks 12th out of 21, with a score of 72 out of 100.
Those who have ADSL prefer Pepephone to no other operator, which clearly stands out from the following. Jazztel, Movistar and Orange have the least satisfied customers with their ADSL.
Finally, from OCU they have collected opinions on customer service, bills and other general aspects of the service. “Once again, Pepephone wins the trophy, with outstanding scores, above 90 points. It is followed by the operator PTV Telecom, highly valued for its customer service. The most criticized are Orange and, above all, , Vodafone, to which they grant only a scratch approval”, indicates the organization.
