This is how Lidl’s three air fryers are to avoid the sunflower oil crisis

In recent days, as a result of the war between Ukraine and Russia, several of the products due to the fear of consumers that this conflict would generate a shortage of supplies. With greater encouragement for sunflower oil, a product that even , hot air fryers have once again gained ground, being one of the most fashionable products also at Lidl.

For great evils, great remedies and if a boom in household appliances that promote healthy cooking was already being seen, the sunflower oil crisis could well give the final push to fryers that barely need oil. Some devices in constant boom that some chains are putting in their main focus with the aim of obtaining revenue in sales when they arrived from Ukraine.

Due to its characteristic of not needing this oil to fry your food, in Lidl up to three machines stand out these days, all with a discounted price on their original cost. In addition, they do so while some chains, including Lidl according to some users, have limited their sale of sunflower oil for fear of running out of stock since Ukraine is the main supplier of this product in Spain.

For this reason, these days the German chain has lowered what is one of its star items. The Xiaomi MI Smart 1,400 W digital hot air fryer that achieves healthier cooking with less oil and little fat from just 94.99 euros (99.99 euros, recommended price).

With the possibility of financing it in up to 36 months, this device is only available online, so it has a delivery period of 24 to 72 hours, with an extra cost of 3.99 euros. With a 3.5 liter capacity, it reaches a temperature between 40 and 200 degrees and can be timed from 0 to 24 hours.

This is the Lidl ‘gourmet’ fryer

Somewhat more expensive, due to its excellent properties, but with up to a 40% discount, is the Gourmetmaxx double-chamber hot air fryer. Qualified as a “star product”, its main feature is having two independent cooking chambers as well as up to six preset programs and manual mode.

Available, also, only online and with the possibility of being financed, this fryer costs 149.99 euros to which must be added the 3.99 euros of shipping costs. With a volume of up to 7.6 liters (capacity for around a kilo of potatoes), its trays and baskets are fully dishwasher-safe, finishing providing some of the best features of this type of appliance.

Finally, the third hot air fryer available these days in the German chain comes under Lidl’s agreement with Philips. An XL appliance, with a capacity of 6.2 litres, for frying, baking, roasting and heating with up to 90% less fat.

With seven preset cooking programs, it reaches temperatures from 60 to 200 degrees and can be timed up to an hour apart. All for 154.99 euros (over its 184.99 euros recommended price), to also be a Lidl “star product” that can be financed in up to three years and with a guarantee of another two.
