This is how Zalando Privé works: the German giant’s discount sales club in Spain – Marketing 4 Ecommerce – Your online marketing magazine for e-commerce

One of the strongest (and least known) bets of Zalando in Spain is its shopping club Zalando Prive. Since the end of 2018, Spanish clients of the German online fashion giant have been able to access discounts in various categories, such as footwear and clothing for women, men and children, as well as underwear, accessories, sporting goods and household items.

How Zalando Prive works

Every morning, at 7:00 during the week and at 8:00 on weekends, new offers of limited duration are published. Customers have access to more than 2,500 popular brands, as well as luxury brands, both in fashion and lifestyle, with discounts of up to 75%. Among these brands are some as popular as Adidas and Pepe Jeans.

“Due to the great affinity of Spanish customers with mobile technology, we are launching the Zalando Privé app as we enter the market”explained Martin Ross, SVP Zalando Lounge and Outlets. “Customers are always looking for lots of choice in brands and discounts, whether they’re doing it right out of bed, on the way to work, or during their midday break. That’s why we need to be there where they are: on their mobiles.

The Zalando Fashion Store, , and the Zalando Shopping Club have distinct but complementary benefits. While the Fashion Store offers the freshest and latest, Zalando Privé focuses on limited-time special sales campaigns aimed at fashion customers looking for bargain prices.”

Zalando Privé and Zalando Lounge (its version in countries like Sweden or ) have more than fifteen million users registered in thirteen countries. This is not the first time that Zalando has tried to evolve its business model.

In fact, in 2017 it launched an Amazon Prime-style subscription program, offering personalized premium services such as early access to sales and discounts or the possibility of contacting stylists and experts by phone or through chat to answer your questions about fashion.

In addition, members of this premium service enjoy faster deliveries including same day shippingand the new modality of “return to the letter” with which the returns will be collected in a two-hour slot at the time and place that the client decides.
