Whether we like it or not Google sets the rules and we always go to him when looking for something. While there are general principles of good practice , achieving a prominent place in searches is not easy, nor does it have exact formulas. Very few have enough experience to understand the mutating algorithmic logic that rules this world.
We know that creating a ranking of agencies for their performance in the SEO field is a very difficult task. The criteria to be evaluated must be carefully selected and understood that, even so, there are certain nuances that the averages cannot identify, or reflect in the results.
Last year we made two tables:
- A top determined by the analysis of 90 agency domains in SEMrush. The final list took the 60 agencies with the best averages of variables such as backlinks, positioned keywords, authority score and traffic.
- A top based on internal data from the same agencies.
In this sixth -and already traditional- edition of the Top SEO best agencies in Spain, we have decided to stay only with the second option, closest to business data. We advance here our gratitude to the agencies that trusted us by giving us key data of their activity so that we can qualify you a little the ecosystem of SEO agencies in Spain.
Ranking of companies according to internal data
As we know, the figures of all the tools that measure metrics on the web give approximate and fluctuating results. That’s why we wanted to give agencies a voice by sharing a form with 17 questions very punctual to know them better. 5 of those questions (numerical) were used to create a ranking based on the following criteria:
- total number of SEO clients
- Billing total 2021 by SEO services
- number of new SEO clients obtained during 2021
- Billing of the agency by SEO services for new clients 2021
- Number of SEO specialists
- And a sixth variable that we include by removing the average billing per customer
This gives us notions of: SEO business volume (total clients and total billing); growth trend (new clients and turnover of that new business), size of the team and size of the clients (average turnover).
According to data passed to us by 48 agencies, we made 6 numerical lists, ordering the agencies from 1 to 48 according to the best results. Once this was done, we took the position of the agencies in each listing and averaged them, which determined the final position: the lower the number, the better the position.

Compared to last year there 14 agencies that did not participate in this edition: SIDN Digital, LEOlytics, Eskimoz, MOV Marketing, PZT, Natzir Torrado, Nivoria, IDX, T2o, Redegal, Ser o no Ser, Elabs consulting, Estudio34 and Blackbeast.
Secondly, 16 new ones entered: Apache Digital, Atecnis, Cinpy, Dualthink, goOne marketing, Grupo Raíz Digital, Habitant, Okisam, Orgánika, Jevnet, La Teva Web, MacLucan, Rodanet, Roiback, Ttandem and Viví Marketing.

Rising two positions compared to last year, at the top of the ranking we find , the digital marketing agency specialized in SEO, online reputation and content marketing which has clients like Mapfre, Orange and Bakinter. 2. NeoAttack
In second place we find the online marketing agency, which this year managed to climb no less than 29 positions. 4. Dobuss
In fourth place and moving up two positions appears an Andalusian agency that has offices in Córdoba, Seville, Almería, Jaén, Málaga, Granada, Cádiz and Huelva. It offers a multitude of services, among which are the design of custom web pages and SEO positioning in search engines. Among its more than 200 success stories are companies such as Sabor a España and Milar.
5. Roi up Group
Going up 9 positions we find a company from Madrid that deals with all the comprehensive SEO work of a company, from the study and planning of the case, to its execution and monitoring. Currently, it has more than 100 clients and its main verticals are fashion, tourism/travel and health. It has offices in several Spanish cities and in Mexico, Colombia and Portugal.
6. AgenciaSEO.eu
Based in the city of Valencia, specializes in web positioning in search engines, in addition to offering content marketing, web analytics and optimization for apps among other services. The main verticals with which it works are food, decoration, and electronics/computing. Among its most important clients are companies such as Choví and Porcelanosa. The Catalan digital marketing agency suffered a small drop in the table, going from position 5 to 7. in 11th place and moving up 5 positions is located , a Catalan digital marketing and consulting company that specializes in SEO positioning, SEM, web design, link building, inbound marketing and monitoring of new trends in the network to be applied to customer needs.
