Update as of 9-30-2021: We have discovered a error in billing numbers . In the E-SHOW guide €942,450,188 were listedwhen in reality, the 2020 billing -which closed on August 31 of last year- was €187,000,000.

In this way, the Swedish multinational loses its spot in the top 5 of eCommerces that invoiced the most in 2020 and Mediamarkt enters in position number 5, with €824,813,069.

The food sector is led by large supermarkets that have an online store:

1.- Mercadona

Going up 7 positions compared to last year in the general ranking (from position 16 to 9) we find as the main food eCommerce in Spain (it was third in 2020). Their total online sales volume was €469,871,314, 1.7% of its total turnover: €27,000 million. The covid has not slowed down its digitization strategy.

Dia Supermarkets continues to be very strong in this category, although it lost its leadership in this vertical and fell 3 places in the general ranking (from position 8 to 11). The total sales volume on-line in 2020 it was €427,946,917 -almost 3% more than in 2019-, and it closed 14 physical stores to concentrate its efforts on improving the online service.
