Tubecon 2017 brings together youtubers and fans in Madrid next February

Following its international success after its first edition in Finland in 2014, Tubecon 2017 arrives in Madrid on February 18 to give visibility to the movement. Up to 200 youtubers and Spaniards will meet at the WiZink Center (the former Palacio de los Deportes) in Madrid, to enjoy a unique experience in which various activities are planned.

Among them, forums on current and specific YouTube issues, workshops (on topics such as bullying), shows and raffles through which fans can choose to meet their favorite YouTubers in person. There is also a planned area for parents, in which they will be told about the operation and development of YouTube.

Tubecon 2017, an event for youtubers and fans

Tubecon 2017 arrives in Madrid with a couple of clear objectives: provide a platform for content creators, and get feedback and interactivity with the public. The organizer of the event, Risto Kuulasmaa, that it is the youtubers and influencers themselves who have contributed ideas and content.

It was already presented a few days ago at the Fundación Telefónica in Madrid, and more than 200 youtubers have confirmed their presence. Some of the most prominent are the fashion influencer or the booktuber

The entrance to Tubecon 2017 will cost 15 euros, and will have a complete agenda in which the following sections stand out:

  • Meet&Greets. Exclusive areas for meetings and encounters between creators and fans. The meets&greets will be free with general admission and will be organized by raffle by web registration a few days before the event.
  • scenarios. Various performances designed by the creators themselves will take place on the main stage. Music, games…
  • Panels. Round tables for youtubers to share ideas with the public. They will deal with topics related to the youtuber universe: booktuber panel, traditional media or content for parents, among others.
  • Workshops. Activities of greater interactivity with the public: tutorials, chat with questions and answers, or a make-up space are among the planned workshops.
  • Awards. From youtubers for youtubers.

Also, the community that created this event will support a charitable cause, the NGO Educo, that helps with projects in Spanish schools.
