In the sixth class of the Twitch course we are going to delve into the different native monetization systems that this platform offers us.
As we have commented in previous classes, one of the great attractions that the platform has. And for what it has attracted the attention of millions of creators who, even though they are established on other platforms such as YouTube, have chosen Twitch as the place to carry out their live shows.
During this class we will learn more about how these monetization systems work. We will talk about the advertising system of the platform and how much is the profit that the creators get for each subscription or bits. Go for it!
In this class we have learned about the different ways of monetizing Twitch. We’ve learned the milestones we need to achieve to become an Affiliate, and we’ve taken a look at the minimum requirements to become a Twitch Partner. Basically, when we reach it we will be able to consider ourselves Live Streaming professionals.
It is also very important to see the differences between the official paths, and how to achieve becoming one of the two types of creators: affiliates and partners. Likewise, we have seen one of the most important processes of our career as streamers step by step.
Once we reach the Affiliate level, we will have to fill out a series of forms and sign a contract with Twitch. With this we can monetize our direct. It’s a somewhat cumbersome process, and in this class we’ll explore it step-by-step so that we have minimal difficulty when the time comes.
The Affiliate status is not extremely difficult to achieve, so I encourage you, as a homework, to start planning what our emoticons and badges will be like when we have active monetization.
