VuelingAirlines is, from its headquarters in Barcelona, one of the main airlines operating in our country. In fact, its growth since its birth in 2004, subject to mergers and fluctuations typical of the sector, has been so remarkable that last year it became the second airline by number of passengers transported within Spanish territory, only surpassed by the well-known Ryanair. Now, in order to continue growing and make it easier for its customers to purchase their tickets, it has a interesting mobile application.

Vueling App: An application ready to travel

Let’s face it: the first contact of the user with the Vueling application is not good. Slow. Pretty slow. Everything that a future traveler does not expect to find from his future airline. Especially when the second contact that the user has with the application is a strange screen in which users are informed of the different rates which they can take advantage of when booking their flights (basic, optime and excellence), without even having had the option of choosing their destination. At least once these initial moments of impatience are over, the user experience improves.

And the next screen is designed exclusively for what the future Vueling customer needs: find the best possible flight option. Thus, the app has a seeker really simple to use, with all the necessary options to comfortably choose the right flight, and that departs from the closest airports to the customer’s location. In addition, the app has different useful buttons for the traveler, such as «Check in», «Flight status«, and the most personalized of “My reservations”, for the company’s most regular customers. An environment prepared for a single purpose and that has a sober design but effective, with hardly any moments of brilliance, beyond the presentation of images related to the desired destination.
