What are the best business schools in Spain?

Universities play a key role within society due to their ability to train future professionals, who will be in charge of developing the economy. Due to its importance within training, year after year, the British newspaper Financial Times publishes its global ranking on training for managers, showing the best academic programs worldwide and where to take them. To develop the ranking, the Financial Times analyzes more than 100 business schools around the world and is based on surveys of schools and their graduates in the last three years. To assess its programs, especially MBAs, indicators such as career progress, student salaries, the diversity of students and faculty, or research published in prestigious journals are used.

This year Spain has excelled in the Executive Education Open category with IESE Business School in third place. Its executive training programs have been ranked since 2015 for their ability to empower leaders to achieve an immediate and lasting positive impact, according to the Financial Times. Among his most outstanding trainings are: Program for Management Development (PMD), Business Acceleration Program (BAP), or Global CEO Program, among others. Philip Moscoso, Director of Executive Education at IESE, states that “this result shows our ability to provide an exceptional experience to managers, entrepreneurs, and corporate clients who trust us while the world is constantly changing.”

In the number four position of the global ranking, in executive training, is Esade Busines School. One of the most important aspects of this institution is its triple accreditation AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA. These credentials corroborate the quality of business schools in the world and certify that they meet the highest quality standards in the structure of their programs. This requirement is so demanding that only 1% of the schools in the world have it. This is how Marc Correa, director of Esade Executive Education, points out: “In recent years we have made a significant investment to offer hyper-personalised, flexible and specialized training with the latest immersive technologies, capable of adapting to current needs”. Obtaining these certifications makes business schools meet different criteria and factors: the level of their teaching staff, the academic program, the recognition of their diplomas, the diversity of the student body or the location of their campuses. Along these lines, Marc points out that “the need to update, acquire, and develop new key skills for the future of professionals is increasingly pressing and companies face the challenge of needing increasingly specialized profiles.”
