Where to buy the CSIC masks by sizes: characteristics and prices

The latest novelty from the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC) has been a revolution in the market for the fight against the coronavirus. With some , the institution has shown that not all protections are effective for everyone and that they must fit perfectly to each face.

Since masks became widespread as the most effective remedy against covid-19, different debates have arisen about their correct use and problems derived from it. Thus, while different epidemiologists have questioned (surgical, hygienic, FFP2, FFP3, cloth…), citizens have been fully involved in the controversy.

Buying one or the other is a difficult question, which the CSIC has now remedied with its new ‘invention’. Masks by size that facilitate adjustment, preventing errors such as the goggles from fogging up by not completely closing all air outlets during breathing.

Where to buy them?

Like all the products that the CSIC has been releasing since the start of the pandemic, these masks can be found at , the scientific institution’s usual distributor. Of course, only in size S and M for now, soon they will also be in larger formats (L).

Characteristic

Being always in the format of the most common of the institution, FFP2, these masks by sizes are only found, at the moment, in the anticovid PPE and not in the surgical, biodegradable or children’s ones.

With all the corresponding EU regulations, these protections have a filtration of 98.7% and a useful life of 16 hours (continuous or accumulated). They are also 100% Spanish-made and can be disinfected by spraying 70% alcohol on the inside and outside.

Prices

Finally, it should be noted that these masks are for adults and are suitable for both men and women (with different sizes). Some FFP2 that, as mentioned above, are only, for the moment, in S and M format, although with different packs, which leaves a disparate general price (with a 10% discount until April 30).

While a unit costs 1.75 euros, regardless of the design that is purchased, . That is, the total cost for these is 43.85 euros. For its part, those of size S can be found both in and in , yes, with the aforementioned 1.75 euros the FFP2. In this way, the former cost 17.55 euros in full, while the latter cost 87.75 euros.
