The gradual return to normality after the pandemic will mean that this summer tourism will recover part of the momentum lost during these almost two years. This is why they are redoubling the hiring of new drivers, a job position that tends to seduce many people who are looking for work.
Specifically, the company Vecttor, part of the Cabify group, has launched a new recruitment campaign through which it intends to select 500 drivers to work mainly in Madrid and Barcelona, although it also opens the possibility in cities such as Malaga, Valencia and Seville. Previously, they had already hired more than 700.
Requirements to be a VTC driver
There are few requirements for this offer, since it is the company that has the license and cars. Specifically, a driver’s license is required for two years, to have an up-to-date and valid ID and at least 8 points on the card, in addition to not having a criminal record.
Salaries of 1,400 euros plus variables
The company has modified the conditions of its drivers. In a statement, they explain that The signing of the collective agreement for the VTC sector in Madrid has significantly improved the conditions of drivers in the capital.
For its part, Vecttor has further improved the conditions of its employees and its new employees, offering a bonus of 200 euros that is added to the base offer.
In total, the basic salary of the drivers is above 1,400 euros per month, to which must be added the incentives for billing. The agreement also regulates drivers’ breaks, on two consecutive days per week, and at least one weekend out of five.
Although this bonus of 200 euros per month will be valid until March, from the third month the driver’s experience makes it much easier to achieve billing targets.
