Xiaomi launches a mini PC that only weighs 250 grams, a little more than a smartphone

Xiaomi Youpin has announced the launch of its new mini PC, Ningmei Mini Computer ‘CR80’ which only weighs 250g which is almost the weight of an average phone, to make the computer easier to carry.

is a Chinese electronic portal where thousands of products are exposed, including the latest Xiaomi innovations. One of the latest products presented on this portal has been the mini PC from the Chinese brand Ningmei Mini Computer ‘CR80’.

This device has been designed with the aim of replacing desktop computers, since it can carry out basic work functions and less demanding entertainment, without taking up half the space of a traditional PC. By not having a screen, this PC allows you to connect to televisions, monitors or projectors among many other devices and, depending on the purpose, also to a keyboard and mouse.

What makes this computer so special are its exterior features. The Ningmei Mini Computer ‘CR80’ measures less than 12cm long and is less than 2.5cm thick. In turn, the device stands out for only weighing 250g. This means that the PC weighs only a few grams more than a smartphone, making it a device that can be easily carried in any backpack.

Inside, this mini PC packs a N5105 quad-core processor that delivers turbo power of up to 2.9GHz. Being so small in size, it consumes only 10W of power and has a 4MB cache. In turn, it is equipped with a high-speed M.2 SSD card that can be upgraded up to 512 GB.

At the moment, this device can only be purchased in China, as no global launch dates, if any, have been announced. But meanwhile the Xiaomi Ningmei Mini PC ‘CR80’ is sold in two variants, on the one hand, the 6 GB RAM version with 128 GB SSD for a price of 1,099 yuan (around 152 euros) or the 8GB RAM version with 256 GB SSD for 1,299 yuan (equivalent to 180 euros).
