75. Billing with Jordi Ortega

Jordi wanted to work as a digital nomad, but he found that he did not have any suitable tool for invoicing… And that’s where it all started…

Rather than wait for a solution to appear, he and his partner decided to create it themselves. They changed their strategy from selling services to selling products to make their business more scalable.

When planning their business strategy, they were clear that they wanted to offer a recurring payment product. When considering Direct Billing, they took into account that it was a good market niche and that there was nothing like it.

They were well aware that, as with any self-service product, many users would demand improvements. They are currently developing a new version of the system that incorporates a large part of the improvements suggested by users.

Due to the natural evolution of Factura Directa, now they also deal with accounting. To make a qualitative leap in terms of billing and accounting for eCommerce, they are working with other CRMs. Its first clients arrived via the Internet: early adopters or visionaries willing to try something new without previous references.

The team already consists of seven workers who work decentralized from coworkings in Vic and Madrid.
