In the sixth lesson of the OBS Studio Advanced course we are going to delve into advanced transitions between scenes.
In the basic course we learned how to use transitions to animate changes between scenes. This is widely used in the world of Live Streaming to animate the screen changes that we make during a live show.
We are going to learn about some advanced native features of transitions, such as setting a specific animation to each scene. And we also know a plugin that will help us fully automate the behavior of OBS Studio according to our activity. Let’s start!
What are these transitions cool? We have gone much deeper into the use of transitions in OBS Studio to give it a much more personalized and professional touch.
Transitions are a fundamental part of our live broadcasts, they break the image monotony and are one more element that defines the image of our channel. We can assign different animations and transition types to each different scene.
Likewise, we have known the Advanced Scene Switcher plugin, with which we can fully customize the behavior of OBS Studio according to our behavior.
We can make OBS change scenes automatically when we open or focus a specific application, even a web page in the specific browser. Or we can make it show us our “rest” scene when we have a certain amount of time without activity in front of our computer. This plugin offers us a multitude of possibilities worth exploring.
As homework, we are going to use the concepts learned in this class and further customize the transition between scenes. We can use different animations or effects and assign them to each scene. Likewise, we will install the Advanced Scene Switcher plugin to automate our OBS Studio according to our behavior.
