Aqua is a 112 meter long fully operational superyacht with a speed of 17 knots and a range of 3,750 nautical miles. “For the development of AQUA, we drew inspiration from the lifestyle of a discerning and forward-thinking owner, the fluid versatility of the water and cutting-edge technology to combine this into a 112-meter superyacht with truly innovative features,” explains Sander Sinot, Designer of the yacht

technology and fuel

This vessel is powered by hydrogen, a unique concept that represents a significant progression towards achieving a new balance between nature and technology. The system is based on the use of liquefied hydrogen, stored at -253°C in two 28-ton vacuum-insulated tanks. Liquefied hydrogen is converted to electrical energy by proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells, with water being the only by-product.

The electrical energy generated is transmitted to Aqua’s power plants, where it is distributed to provide power for propulsion, auxiliary systems and hotel services. In addition, the batteries buffer the electricity generated to ensure that power demands are always met. And thanks to electric propulsion, Aqua is a very quiet superyacht, with very little noise or vibration.

privacy and space

Aqua is arranged in a five-story configuration and has been designed to provide guests with the closest possible proximity to the water. In this way, the aft deck features a series of platforms that cascade down into the sea, while a large bathing platform allows all passengers to enjoy the experience of accessing the water at sea level.

Regarding the interior, entering Aqua is accessing a large space of privacy and spaciousness. The central pavilion is arranged in a vast open area of interconnected spaces, divided by wooden screens that provide privacy and subdued lighting. On both the starboard and port sides, floor-to-ceiling windows give a feeling of openness and freedom.

The VIP rooms stand out for their spacious design and elaborate furniture. And its design focuses on openness, luxury and comfort, providing a great sense of freedom in a minimalist Japanese-style setting. The owner’s room, for its part, also has a large bathroom, dressing room and a private spa section.

The boat also has a spa, consisting of a hydromassage room and a space for yoga. And a complete gym that opens to the surface of the ocean, creating the perception of exercising and relaxing on an island in the sea.

One of the architectural elements of Aqua is the spectacular circular staircase, which extends from the upper deck to the lower deck. A spectacle manifests itself in the lowest level, looking towards the stern, where two large tanks of liquefied hydrogen reveal their structure behind a giant facade of reinforced glass.
