What characterizes Modulus products?

We make contemporary and minimalist design furniture. In materials, we work with premium lacquer and wood veneer. We also use the best fittings for each piece of furniture, depending on what the design requires.

Our designs are designed so that the complete piece of furniture is of good quality, even the details. At first, if the client does not know about the subject, he may not value it and it seems expensive, but later he understands and sees that differential. Later, they not only come back for other jobs, but they send recommended people.

In addition to maintaining a line of design and high quality, We think a lot about the composition of each piece of furniture. Everything is analysed: where the plugs are going to be, where the cables are going to run… We anticipate these needs.

How was Modulus born and how did the idea of ​​creating an online store come about?

modules started with the part of custom projects. My husband, who is an architect, had many clients who, in addition to renovating the house, needed special and custom-made furniture. So we began to see a gap in that branch of furniture design. We went to the client’s house and made that design that he needed and could not find anywhere else.

Then, little by little, we were developing a line of products for sale to the public. From that, we opened the store to the street and the online store at the same time.

At first, we made the store with another ecommerce platform but we decided to switch to Tiendanube because the customer service seemed super. We needed help and in Tiendanube they advised us and were very friendly.

What advice would you give to someone who is thinking of creating an online store?

That you know well what you are going to sell. Looking for your own particularity to be able to offer something original. Do not do the same as another, just because it is going well. Have something that sets you apart.

Secondly, treat people well, meet delivery times and that customers are satisfied (although they are not always right). Those things make a difference. People recognize it and value it a lot.

What is the strategy that works best for you to promote yourself?

We use Facebook Ads and Google Ads. What works best for us is Facebook, most of our visits and sales come from there. The challenge is to post something that stands out, because after a while, it all seems the same.

And another of the best forms of promotion is the word of mouth. Many clients come to us for recommendations.

What was the biggest challenge of your career in the online world?

I would say the first action of the “Internet Day” that we participated. We put ads on Facebook and Google Ads and we had a lot of traffic and inquiries. I said “wow, this works”. We had to be answering one query after another.

Looking back at the beginning of the project, what advice would you give yourself?

Do not despair, that everything comes, be patient. We started from scratch and one thinks that it will be impossible to catch up with brands that are recognized or have a lot to invest. But if one is constant with what he does, in the long run it adds up.

Also, knowing how to keep the line. When something does not work, one begins to disperse immediately. One thinks, “if I do this, I’ll do the other” and then you say “no, mine is something else, and I know that what I do, I do it well”.
