North American Astute buys Socialbakers looking to become a leader in social media marketing – Marketing 4 Ecommerce – Your online marketing magazine for e-commerce

(“Astute”), a leading customer service and voice of the customer platform, today announced the acquisition of (“Socialbakers”), one of the market’s leading online marketing platforms. The terms of the agreement have not been published.

What is Social Bakers

The unified marketing platform based on artificial intelligence from the Czech company Socialbakers is used in the management of social networks for thousands of companies and their brands, as well as for SMEs.

Leveraging the industry’s largest social media dataset, Socialbakers helps brands large and small ensure their social media investment delivers measurable business results. With more than 2,500 clients in 100 countries, Socialbakers reports on 10 million profiles on the main networks, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Linkedin, Pinterest, Google+ and VK.com. Socialbakers has been a Facebook Marketing Partner since 2011, a Pinterest Marketing Partner since 2017, and a LinkedIn Marketing Partner since 2017.

As Yuval Ben-Itzhak CEO of Socialbakers has explained, this agreement will result in a combined organization with more than 600 employees and more than 80 million euros in annual recurring revenue. Founded in 2008 and headquartered in Prague, the company had so far raised a total of 34 million dollars in financing (just over 28 million euros).
