What is a passivhaus house?
A passivhaus building is a type of construction that prioritizes the maximum reduction of the energy necessary for its air conditioning, managing to maintain a healthy interior environment and a constant and comfortable temperature throughout the year by optimizing existing resources.

Thus, alternatives 1 and 2 feature sloped roofs, optimized for photovoltaic panels, which create cozy living spaces. And the Model 3 has a distinctly Californian design, inspired by mid-century case study homes. Additionally, all versions offer open-plan living areas with large, expressive windows.

To meet the rigorous Passive House standard, all LivingHomes guarantee airtight construction, highly efficient mechanical systems, a dedicated fresh air system, heat or energy recovery ventilation system, high performance water heaters, high insulation and high-performance windows and doors. Plus, these LivingHomes are designed to meet net-zero energy standards, and ship complete with best-in-class smart home technology and energy monitoring.
In addition, the construction of all the LivingHomes models of the Californian company are done efficiently with the use of the Plant Building System, a hybrid system patented by Plant Prefab to build prefabricated houses. It is a panel construction method, which incorporates plumbing, electrical and finishing materials. By integrating both modules and panels, PBS gives architects greater design flexibility and reduces the complexity and cost of transportation and installation.
