The largest clock in the world, in the imposing Abraj Al Bait in Mecca

Abraj Al Bait’s Makkah Royal Tower is topped by a sphere that can be seen from around 25 kilometers away thanks to its 43-meter height and 430-meter height. This tower also has the highest residential floor, at around 400 meters on the ground, just below the clock.

The Abraj Al-Bait, built in the center of Mecca, is rated as one of the largest real estate complexes ever built in terms of mass thanks to a construction area of ​​1,500,000 square meters. In addition, the tallest tower of the Abraj Al-Bait is one of the highest in the world thanks to its 601 meters in height.

This complex, built by the promoter Saudi Binladin Group, is part of King Abdulaziz’s project to modernize and reinforce the hotel endowment of the city where the Kaaba is located – a cube-shaped construction located in the Masjid al-Haram mosque that represents the sacred place and the most important religious pilgrimage of Islam.

Precisely, the Abraj Al-Bait was built across the street from the entrance to this mosque and has a space for prayer with a capacity for more than 4,000 people. It also has a five-star hotel to accommodate the more than two million pilgrims who make the Hajj pilgrimage every year.

This large complex also contains a four-story commercial area, a car park to accommodate thousands of vehicles, and helipads to facilitate connection. In total, the Abraj Al-Bait is capable of hosting more than 70,000 people.
