The market research company Zinklar closes a round of €5.5M to boost its expansion in the US – Marketing 4 Ecommerce – Your online marketing magazine for e-commerce

Zinklar, the Barcelona company dedicated to market research, he has closed a new series A investment round for a total of 5.5 million euros. The operation was led by Caixa Capital Risc, CriteriaCaixa’s venture capital manager, which has been investing in the company since 2017.

In this round they joined new investors such as, EASO Ventures, Full Global Investments, CDTI Innvierte and the company based on Beacon Capital. A representative of the latter joins the board of directors, also made up of Caixa Capital Risc, Inveready and the founders of Zinklar.

So far, the startup has managed to raise 7.6 million euros, which has allowed them to have a work team of 60 people and a client portfolio of more than 300 brands from different economic sectors such as Reckitt, Google, Hershey’s, Panasonic, CaixaBank, The Body Shop, Bayer, Disney and AT&T.

Zinklar was founded in 2016 by executives Jordi Ferrer and Borja Ormaechea, and offers insight automation solutions for market research based on artificial intelligence, connecting brands with a database of 140 million consumers distributed in 80 different markets.

Thanks to its team of market research experts, AI-powered interface and quality checks, the platform allows you to easily create surveys using editable templates, a wide library of suggested questions and the use of own questions, images, audios and videos.

Through the surveys brands can gain in-depth knowledge of market habits and segmentation, launch new products or services, create effective advertising campaigns, as well as evaluate the user experience, channel performance, promotion efficiency and make better corporate decisions.

Expansion of international presence to the United States

The new injection of capital will serve the company to continue to improve its software, incorporate more advanced analytical capabilities and new research solutions, such as real-time suggestion making, AI-based task automation, and comparison of results to standards.

Similarly, the company plans to attract new professional talent and double its workforce by the end of 2022, as well as continue expanding its presence internationally, with special emphasis on the United States, as well as Europe and Latin America.
