Orders are currently processed in large logistics centers (such as the one that will open in Madrid), where employees manually select the items and then pack them. Once the package is ready, an email is sent informing you that the order has left the logistics center. 2 to 3 days later, the order arrives at the warehouse in Barcelona and Celeritas is then in charge of making the delivery to the customer’s address.

Currently, the shipping process takes between 5 to 7 business days, which is expected to change with the opening of the new logistics center in Madrid, bringing delivery times closer to 2/4 days, for example, the company takes to deliver orders in Germany.

This technology is so fast that it can read about 140 images per second with an accuracy ranging from 95% to 98%, considerably improving the time taken to integrate the order and send it.

Until now, Zalando has four stores in Germany, three in Poland, two in Italy, one in Sweden, one in and one more in the Netherlands.
