YouTube course #6. Tags – .com

In the sixth class of the YouTube course we are going to see how we will get the most out of our tagging strategy.

The objective of this is to capitalize on keywords that we have not been able to include in the titles. Through this section, YouTube gives us the opportunity to broaden our spectrum of the search terms we are working on.

On the other hand, in this module we will know basic questions such as: What exactly are YouTube tags? What are tags used for on YouTube? How many tags can be used per YouTube post? Let’s see it 🙂

We have seen that it is key to previously define a labeling structure based on the different categories of content that we are going to produce on our channel.

This is key in order to be able to use a series of tags that link the videos that are part of the same category of content, and that despite the fact that the titles are not similar, YouTube can identify them as related content.

On the other hand, it is key to always keep an eye on our competition. Let’s remember that they have already started the path, so they can save us a lot of work time by researching their own labels. And it is that despite the fact that YouTube hid the labeling publicly a while ago, we do have a very easy possibility to implement. With the activation of this extension we can view the labeling of any video that we see on YouTube.

Finally we have seen how to categorize the labels that we are working on. For this we have worked on an Excel template on which to dump the information that we were obtaining.

And this has been all within the tags module on YouTube. Undoubtedly, a factor to take into account in order to obtain a good position within the market niche that you have selected in order to produce your content.

As homework for this module we suggest you make your own label structure. To do this, you have to select different categories of content and based on this, we propose the keywords of brand, SEO, longtail and competition.

As always, if you have any doubt or question, you can send it through the support form of the subscriber intranet. See you in the next lesson! 🙂
