Advanced YouTube course #8. Monetization – .com

In the eighth class of the advanced YouTube course we are going to learn how the world of monetization works within the YouTube platform.

We already know that YouTube is part of Google, and therefore, it is also part of its Partners network. The first step that we must take is to meet some minimum requirements to be able to be part of this network of Partners.

From this moment on, we can activate the monetization option in our content. Inside video!

So the first thing we have to remember is the role of AdSense, a simple and free solution with which you can earn income.

To do this, all you have to do is place ads next to your online content. With AdSense, you can show your website visitors relevant and engaging ads, and even customize them to match the design of your website.

Subsequently, we have seen the monetization options available to content creators that are part of the Partners network:

  • Activate ads
  • channel members
  • merchandising showcase
  • Super Chat and Super Stickers
  • YouTube Premium revenue

But we have seen that we cannot activate these functionalities until we meet a series of requirements. These rules are generic that can be applied to almost any advertising medium. If it is true that depending on the option you want to activate you will need a minimum number of subscribers or not.

On the other hand, there are the requirements to be part of the YouTube Partners program: Have more than 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of playback.

It is important to keep track of how far your channel is from this goal, and how to easily reach those 4,000 hours of views. We have also seen how to discover which are the communication sectors or territories in which we may be most interested in creating content, since it concentrates the most important advertisers.

So we encourage you to review the tips to increase the attraction of advertisers in our channel, as well as recommendations to implement in reference to vocabulary, or topics to deal with.

As always, if you have any doubt or question, you can send it through the support form of the subscriber intranet. See you in the next lesson! 🙂
