After Effects Course #7. Animated texts – .com

In the seventh class of the Adobe After Effects course we see one of the most versatile layer types and that can surprise us the most: Texts.

We have previously seen how to introduce texts to our compositions. However, text layers have special features that deserve a separate mention.

Animation properties work much the same as other layer properties, except that their values only affect characters selected using the animation group selectors. Go for it!

In this class we have learned the basic notions of how we can animate text layers. We have seen how they have somewhat different properties and characteristics than the other types of layer. And its great potential is the possibility of being able to create different types of animations and effects for each of the text characters.

This will allow us to create complex animations using texts and that, in addition, will be very useful in creating essential graphics, which we will delve into later in the course.

We will be able to animate and modify in time the scaling, position and animate each of the characters. Being able to also use the animation effects to achieve much more versatile results.

We already know how to animate texts and create titles that will be very useful, not only in the compositions we make, but also to create graphic elements that we can use in our video editions.

We are going to try, as an exercise, the basic notions that we have learned. We’ve seen a few effects, but we have many more on the menu. Let’s try different effects and animate them. To see what kind of titles we can get with this methodology.
