In the second class of the Astra course we see how to create our blog, we will assign it the corresponding page, and we will modify its design and appearance.
And it is that despite not being mandatory, having a blog or podcast is usually an essential part of an inbound marketing strategy, and Astra allows us to modify its design in a simple way, without any code, based on clicks.
So let’s see how to create, modify, and decide what information to show both on the blog page with the list of posts, and in the individual entries. Let us begin!
We already have it! Easy right? And all from the customizer, seeing the changes we are making in real time. We can choose what data to display, and how to display it.
As optional homework to finish digesting everything we have seen in this lesson, I propose the following steps:
- Create a blog page, and assign it as such in WordPress.
- Create a few filler sample entries.
- Decide the width, design and information to display in the list of posts.
- Decide the width, layout and information to display in individual posts.
- Hide featured image, tags, and author from post listing
- Show the title and abstract of each article in the list of posts
- Hide labels on individual posts
And apart from these points, I invite you to play with the rest of the options. Try to change colors, widths, spaces, fonts, and everything that is necessary.
