Bye Mondial Relay, hello InPost: the Polish logistics company absorbs the French and expands its network of delivery services

The French company specializing in last mile solutions previously called Mondial Relay, will be completely absorbed by the Polish InPost, specialized in distribution to smart lockers. Despite having signed an integration agreement in July 2021 valued at just over 500 million euros, it is now that the networks begin to work as one.

InPost expands its presence to reach more households

InPost hopes that the integration will be the start of a new stage of expansion to become the largest hybrid network of non-home delivery points in Europe. To achieve this goal, it has woven a network of almost 40,000 collection points spread over a dozen European countries, of which 3,200 are in Spain.

From the Polish company they affirm that “The intention of the Group is be present within a maximum radius of 300 meters from the home or workplace of their clients.

The shipping network of InPost, a company founded by Rafal Brzoska, focuses on a network of lockers, more than 22,000 security lockers located in public spaces such as establishments, office buildings, shopping centers or service stations, where users can go to pick up their virtual shopping packages. When shopping online, users can choose the locker closest to their home or work to pick up their purchases and receive a personal code to unlock the lockers.

On the other hand, pack points are basically establishments whose owners decide to lend their spaces as a collection point of online shopping packages. They can be coffee shops, clothing stores, a kiosk or any place open to the public.

Of these new lockers, the first will be in the main spanish cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Valencia or Malaga, among others, and they will progressively spread throughout the rest of the territory until they cover the most distant areas.
