In this course we see how to distribute our music in all online stores and streaming platforms to monetize our compositions.
We will learn how the music industry works to understand each role and apply it in each case, since we will be the ones who will fully manage our jobs.
We will see the importance of publishers and how they can help us to exploit our works thanks to their registration in the various entities that allow us to protect them and manage their licenses for use.
We will study the figure of the aggregators that will allow us to distribute our musical productions on all platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Tidal, Deezer, etc. We will also see how we must deliver our work: Audio formats, normalization, covers, nomenclatures, roles of the participants and metadata so that it meets the requested requirements.
Of course, we will dedicate a class to streaming platforms. We will see what features each one offers us and we will delve into its “For Artist” version from which they will allow us to manage our artist accounts.
We will explain what Royalties are and through what types we can monetize our music once we have them duly registered so that the distribution is made to each of the people or entities that have participated in its creation.
We cannot ignore the importance of publicizing our musical projects. We will see the different options to promote ourselves that we can adopt, both free and paid. After all, it won’t do any good for us to publish a song if we don’t encourage it to be heard.
