The great e-blackout: a fall of Movistar leaves half of Spain without the Internet

In a day when online media was destined to become the main source of news about the political situation, Movistar has returned to the radios, televisions and maybe? even the newspapers on the front page: since 4:00 p.m. users from the main urban areas of Spain (Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia) are reporting all kinds of problems with their Internet connection. And everything points to the old Telefónica is the source of the problem.

Although there are still many Movistar users in Madrid and Barcelona who continue to report problems with their Internet connection, the problem seems to be solved for the most part.

The fall of Movistar is historic

the three urban areas have become the focus of a problem for which there is still no official explanation, and for which, apparently, the only solution for customers is to complain through the 1004 service line. The only message made public by the company through El Confidencial is absolutely laconic: “We are working on solving it and analyzing what has happened”

And of course, the reactions in have not been long in coming:

For those of you who tell us about connection problems, we indicate that our technicians are working on it. Sorry for bothering you.

Shameful that they leave you without internet and when you try to contact them they hang up the call…

– Daniel Frías (@dfrias8)

Guys, in case you’re from Movistar and your WiFi or phone doesn’t work, it’s down or they’ve thrown it away.

Anyone with Internet connection problems in Madrid with the wonderful Movistar?

– Javier Benegas (@BenegasJ)

That happens to me day in and day out, and they wash their hands, they keep me listening to a machine on the phone for 45 minutes giving me directions

Joer….to see Movistar today as TT and to think that it had moved its headquarters to Barcelona.
It turns out that they dropped the Internet
